Minorite monastery
The Minorite Monastery in Ptuj is one of the most important buildings in the old town center, which closes the old part of the city on the Minorite Square to the west. The lower part of the square is closed by a monolithic white monastery wall, against which the beautiful baroque church of St. Peter and Paul. In its facade above the entrance, decorated with four tall columns in niches on the left and right sides, the church's patron Saints stand. Peter and Paul. Above the triforo, the triple arched window above the door, stands a statue of Mary. In front of it and the monastery stands a statue of Mary with the child, standing on a crescent moon, on a high column. On the facade above the entrance to the monastery is also a statue of St. Francis of Assisi with angels.
